Diqing Area
It sits at the north-west part of Yunnan province, bordering with Nyingchi and Ganzi areas. Also, it is a part of core zone of Shangri-la. The Meili Snow Mountain and Jinsha River Canyon, the core area of world heritage ‘Three Parallel Rivers’ zone, fall on Diqing as well. The ancient city of Dayan in Lijiang, world culture heritage, is also near Diqing Area.
